One of the founding members of the ARGN is GamblePause Initiative Africa, founded by Ladipo Abiose Akolade.

Akolade said the ARGN was established to address the fragmented nature of responsible gambling efforts across Africa and create a platform for greater collaboration between organisations working in the space.

“ARGN was created because problem gambling is becoming a bigger issue across Africa and most responsible gambling efforts still happen within individual countries,” Akolade tells iGB. “While many organisations are doing great work, there has been limited opportunity to learn from each other, share research, or work together on common challenges.

About Its Time

From recruitment to regulation, cybersecurity, tribal gaming, affiliates, gambling law, C-suite leaders and everything else in between, the campaign has shown that where roles, companies and backgrounds differ, many of the women we have honoured share a united drive to improve diversity within the sector.

This year sees the return of the majority of our judging panel for either the first, second or third consecutive year! Their confidence in the campaign, and how it’s run is a real testament to Most Influential Women, and how highly it is regarded across the sector, particularly as these types of lists and rankings gain popularity across industry media.

As of today, submissions for the 2026 iGB’s Most Influential Women list are open! We are once again looking for nominations that highlight all facets of the sector, and the women who are championing change and acting as leading forces within their company, or the sector more broadly.

What is Its Time?

For a second year, the Las Vegas Convention & Visitors Authority (LVCVA) is organizing the city-wide “Vegas 5-Day Sale.” Officially running from today (Sept. 22) through Saturday (Sept. 26), the event for 2026 includes more than 180 limited-time offerings.

Caesars is offering rooms at its Las Vegas properties discounted by up to 60% for stays through March 2027. The Caesars Palace operator is extending the five-day promotion to 9 am PT on Tuesday, Sept. 29.

Caesars is additionally offering $50 tickets for Josh Groban and Tim McGraw, $30 seats for Jeff Dunham, and 20-25% discounts on the High Roller Observation Wheel, Fly LINQ Zipline, and Eiffel Tower Viewing Deck.
